The manual has no further instructions about what to do if the electrical power source is good. A hair dryer works just fine when plugged into the same wall outlet. The manual for the Battery Tender says that if no lights come on, the power source should be checked with a voltmeter or by plugging in another electrical appliance. The battery in question is showing a charge of 8.5V. If the battery has less than a 3V charge, the red light should flash. ![]() The instructions say that the red light should come on when the tender is receiving power. I hooked it up to another battery from another vehicle today and it doesn't work at all. Within a 24 hour period, it brought the battery up to full charge. It operated just as the manual stated it should. I used it on a battery with low charge from one of my cars. Just purchased a new Deltran Battery Tender Plus.
